Andrew Goodwin is Professor of Materials Chemistry and a University Research Professor at Oxford. He leads a diverse and creative research group based in the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory.
Research within the Goodwin Group has been recognised by the RSC’s Harrison-Meldola, Marlow, Corday-Morgan and Peter Day prizes.
Andrew was the inaugural UK Blavatnik Laureate in Chemistry, and has held three ERC Grants (one Starting; two Advanced).
He serves in a senior advisory capacity to a range of Central Facilities and Research Agencies, including the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source (UK), the Leverhulme Trust (UK) and the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft (DE). Within Oxford Chemistry, he is the Associate Head of Department for Research.
Andrew is a Fellow of St John’s College, Oxford.
